Senior Product Manager

Storable is looking for a Senior Product Manager with an online marketplace background to maximize value delivered to storage consumers while producing a best-in-class experience and ROI for self-storage suppliers. This role is based in our Austin, Texas office.

To be effective, you will work with colleagues across product, marketing, design, analytics, and engineering to identify opportunities to attract visitors, use A/B experimentation to improve the online and offline user experiences, build innovative features, and increase the resiliency of internal systems.

Everything you do should be centered around how to build a better experience for storage consumers and storage operators and ultimately your success will be measured in revenue and margin contribution growth. 

What you’ll do everyday:

  • Drive enhancements within the storage consumer and storage operator experiences to increase engagement and deliver business results by creating clear requirements and coordinating efforts across the organization
  • Lead the ideation, vetting, and prioritization of marketplace product increments in partnership with colleagues in product, marketing, design, analytics, and engineering
  • Manage a prioritized backlog of all high-priority features, A/B experiments, infrastructure improvements, and bug fixes
  • Do day-to-day scrum work of providing product management to the marketplace’s product delivery team (engineering, design)
  • Define and deliver the OKRs for each project
  • Measure and validate impact using all available tools, including various data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), data retrieval tools (SQL, Google Analytics), A/B experimentation, interviews, surveys, and research
  • Deliver all necessary Product descriptions and assets to Product Marketing for the purpose of being used in monthly product release notes.
  • Communicate ideas, progress and results to the product development organization and broader company
  • Work from our office daily in Austin, TX

What you need to bring to the table:

  • 5+ years consumer product management experience, preferably in a marketplace
  • Passion for understanding user behavior and building great online user experiences
  • Comfort with both the art (user empathy, design) and science (analytics, statistics, structured hypotheses) of product management
  • Expertise with Google Analytics, consumer funnel metrics, and testing statistics
  • Experience working in a nimble product delivery organization where product, design, and engineering work in close collaboration
  • Familiarity working with Agile Scrum methodologies, including the ability to write actionable and detailed user stories
  • SEO fluency and the ability to balance traffic growth initiatives with conversion optimization efforts
  • Strong communication skills.  The ability to articulate why you are making certain improvements, what you hope to learn from them, and how they fit into a larger overall strategy
  • Resourcefulness in solving problems
  • Talent for building advocacy and buy-in among colleagues
  • Ability to navigate hard conversations and produce desired outcomes for all participants
  • Manages projects independently
